The premier of the one-hour, locally made documentary, "Black Ash Basketry: A Story of Cultural Resilience,"says as much about the residents of metro Grand Rapids as the protagonists in the film, the family of Steve and Kitt Pigeon in Allegan County. It is also spoken by Potawatomi in Kansas, Oklahoma, and in southern Ontario.
