Great British Lighting are pleased to accept commissions of all sizes for lighting restoration projects, from complete lighting system restorations to the production of a single replacement piece.
Our lighting restoration service is particularly useful where light fittings may be protected under listed building legislation. The skilled craftsmen that make up the Great British Lighting team are able to work with an unlimited range of materials, including aluminium, brass, copper, wrought iron, stainless steel, timber and glass, to ensure that lighting fixtures are restored and replaced with like-for-like materials. We also work with a consortium of other skilled, traditional craftsmen who provide complimentary services and expertise. These include specialist pattern makers, glassmakers and blowers, all of whom can be a vital resource in the exact restoration of your lighting piece.
The skill set of the Great British Lighting craftsmen is time-honoured and, therefore, adaptable. As well as restoring lighting, our team are able to restore other areas that may require the careful attention and consideration of an expert in historical restoration. Metalwork such as handrails, staircases, door furniture and other decorative elements may require cleaning or repairs to restore them to their former glory; meeting listed building and other legislation as required.
