In our latest project, we are working with the historic Winter Gardens in Blackpool to breathe new life into their amazing art deco style lighting.
Dating back to 1878, the Grade II listed building is an entertainment complex that has been host to some of the biggest stars in showbusiness. The Winter Gardens was built on a six acre estate, with space for concert rooms and conservatories. The Opera House Theatre opened shortly after in 1889, with the famous Empress Ballroom opening its doors in 1896. At the time, the Empress Ballroom was one of the largest ballrooms in the world, with a floor area of 12,500 sq. ft. Many well-known events take place at the Winter Gardens every year, including the Blackpool Dance Festival.
Great British Lighting are proud to work alongside a venue with such a rich history in the iconic seaside town of Blackpool.
